Projectiology

Definition: (Latin: projectio, projection; Greek: logos, treatise). Projectiology is the science that studies the phenomenon of the projection of the consciousness, known as well as the out of body experience, astral projection, among others. This area of study is one of the 70 specialties of Conscientiology.

Scientific. Contrary to mystical and religious lines, Projectiology studies paranormal phenomena in a scientific, non-dogmatic, manner, stimulating other students and researchers to experiment the phenomenon themselves to confirm or refute this reality, based on their experiences. Projectiology stimulates rationality, critical evaluation and questioning of the all information that has been produced till today.

Natural. The out of body experience phenomenon has been known for millenniums. In practically all civilizations that left manuscripts it's possible to find references to it. Additionally, it's a phenomenon that is considered natural, characteristic to the human's normal physiology, independent of sex, race, religion, belief, status or age, being that 100% of humanity projects every night, whether they're aware of it or not.

ASC. The most advanced researches consider projection an altered state of consciousness (ASC) distinct from dreams, daydreams, nightmares, or hallucinations; and shouldn't be confused with any of these. In the projection of the consciousness, the individual sees himself separated from the physical body, however maintaining a critical sense, rational and clarity of thought, and at times a level of lucidity close to when physically awake.

Benefits. One of the greatest benefits of out of body experience is the substitution of belief for personal confirmations. The projector can eliminate from his approaches fear, inaccuracy, obscure information, and mystical interpretation, beginning to treat the multidimensional reality and the parapsychic phenomena in an objective and rational matter.

Background. The science Projectiology was proposed officially by the Brazilian physician and dentist Waldo Vieira, beginning in 1982 when published the book Projections of the Consciousness. In 1986, Vieira published the treatise Projectiology- An Overview of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body. 1,232 pages, fruit of 19 years of research, which is now on its 4th edition. In 2002, in New York, an English version of this book was released, considered an international reference on the study of this topic.
